Southern Minnesota Defends HSCC Title for 5th Straight Year!
Our 2011 National BDPA High School Computer Competition (HSCC) Champions hail from Rochester, Minnesota. Advance Planning Briefing for Interns (APBi) | "2012 IT Pipeline"
On Saturday, November 12, local BDPA Chapters in the National Capital Region (NCR) hosted the Fall APBi with an open house at Bowie State University. Black In America 4 @ UMBC | "Innovation Nation"
On Sunday, November 13, BDPA Chapter members from Washington, Baltimore, and New Jersey participated in a special live webcast at UMBC hosted by Mario Armstrong. "Innovation Nation" was a webcast that aired live on November 13th, immediately following the premiere of Black in America 4 on CNN. BDPA Member Receives 2011 Presidential Mentoring Award
CLEMSON — Clemson University School of Computing professor, Dr. Juan Gilbert, is one of nine people receiving the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring, the White House announced November 15th. Dr. Gilbert (above right) with National BDPA President Monique Berry, is a BDPA Epsilon Award winner and BEYA Modern Day Leader. Read more....

Arizona State University's (ASU) Flexible Display Center, the U.S. Army, and NBDPA sponsor HP have been innovators in many electronic technologies, including this flexscreen prototype – Self-Aligned Imprint Lithography (SAIL), invented at HP Labs. As HP explains, “SAIL technology enables the fabrication of thin film transistor arrays on a flexible plastic material in a low-cost, roll-to-roll manufacturing process.” Read more.
